Another day at Exbury Gardens and another full memory card and exhausted camera battery! We had a lovely time here back in the summer and were excited to see how everything had changed and was now full of rich autumn colour.
One of the highlights was Exbury’s Ghost Train. Staff got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up and performing a phantomime and the steam train rode past scarecrows, skeletons and scary sculptures. It was perfect for the little ones – spooky but not too terrifying.
We were surprised to see so many flowers still in bloom in the Sundial Garden and even more surprised at how many butterflies and bees were around! In contrast, the ground was also covered in all kinds of interesting fungi, petals and beautifully coloured leaves.
