A postcard from… Marwell Zoo, Hampshire (June 2017)

Images taken at Marwell Zoo. May and June 2017.

A small selection of images from our two most recent visits to our local zoo, Marwell, during May and June. We saw prowling cheetahs, nesting birds, sunbathing lemurs, even a damselfly or two. Of course a trip to Marwell is never complete without running up the big hill and rolling back down again numerous times!

Your photos are wonderful, especially the birds, I never manage to capture wildlife this well. Marwell Zoo is is one of our favourites, it is so spacious and the animals look well cared for and happy. Even when the car parks are busy there is enough green space to make it feel comfortable to explore and roll down the hill of course!

Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids

We’ve been to Marwell before and had a fab time there, my husband loves taking photos of the animals. I’m not sure what hill is it is that is good for rolling, my kids would love that. Mich x #CountryKids

Great animal photos. I always find it hard to get them because they move or with the enclosures. #countrykids

lots of lovely animals to see. I totally agree a hill is there to be rolled down, as I am sure generations of children have done on that hill.
