About

The Princess and The Pickle began in 2011 as an online journal, full of snapshots and memories of family adventures. It has since developed into my own little creative space with a focus on photography.

Over the last few years as a blogger, I have worked with a number of brands including; Butlins, Toys R Us and Lollibop festival. I have also written a number of features for the Collins Freedom to Teach blog, along with many articles and seasonal guides for Families Online.

The Princess and The Pickle greetings cards

You can now buy eco-friendly greetings cards in my online shop.

I purchase all of my card-making materials from UK suppliers and take great care in sourcing products which are as eco-friendly as possible.

The card and envelopes I use are made from 100% recycled fibre from post consumer waste. They are also recyclable. Any off-cuts of card are saved and used to make smaller items such as gift tags in order to minimise wastage. Anything left unused always manages to find its way into the kids’ craft drawers where it is certain to be put to good use!

The packaging I use to display my cards are biofilm presentation bags, made with corn / potato starch derived from renewable crops. The bags are fully biodegradable and compostable.

All printing is done ‘in-house’ (literally!) and I participate in an ink cartridge recycling programme.

I will be expanding the product range in 2019 to include wooden items such as keyrings, plus fabric tote bags and more!

As well as being able to buy these items online, you’ll also find me at lots of local craft fairs throughout the year. I am open to supplying my products to independent gift shops, please do get in touch if you would like to discuss this.
