We last visited the Isle of Wight Zoo (now known as Wildheart Animal Sanctuary) in 2015 and were keen to revisit during our trip to the island this year, to learn more about the rebranding and of course, to see the beautiful animals.
It had been a number of years since our last visit to Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight, so when we popped over to the island this October half term we were really looking forward to the autumn evening entertainment, and it did not disappoint.
Underwater Kingdom at Blackgang Chine Underwater Kingdom is the latest addition to Blackgang Chine‘s many lands of imagination. The whole area has been transformed into an underwater themed adventure. Entering through a dark cavernous tunnel, you step out into a vibrant coral reef where you are greeted by Giuseppe the crab, asking you to look […]
Images taken at Steephill Cove and surrounding area. January 2017. We enjoyed a very rare child-free weekend away for our 10th wedding anniversary and stayed in Steephill Cove, near Ventnor. It’s such a unique and picturesque little place, hidden away below Ventnor Botanic Gardens. There are just a handful of cottages and cafes (although nothing […]
Images taken at Amazon World Zoo Park, Isle of Wight. January 2017. Images taken at Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight. January 2017. This was the first time we’d been to an Electric Woods event, but we’ll definitely be back again! Robin Hill was filled with oriental entertainment, light displays and music, in celebration of the Chinese new year. Dozens of lanterns and strings of lights […]

From the smallest, fluffiest ducklings, to the proudest of peacocks – displaying […]
