While Amazon World doesn’t have a lot of the typical larger zoo animals, such as big cats, it has a really interesting collection of smaller animals not often seen in zoos. From sloths to armadillos, plus an impressive array of birds, reptiles and insects, made this a very worthwhile place to visit. We stayed for the lemur feed and talk, although the lemurs weren’t particularly active throughout this as they already had plenty of food in their enclosure. One did hop up onto my shoulder though! It was also nice to converse with a very friendly parrot, who was saying “hi” and “bye bye” to all the visitors as they passed.
