A postcard from… Exbury Gardens, Hampshire (April 2017)

Images taken at Exbury Gardens, Hampshire. April 2017.

Oh Exbury Gardens, how we have missed you over the winter! As one of our absolute favourite places to visit, we just had to return to Exbury Gardens for the start of the new season and to see all the beautiful springtime colour popping up everywhere. It seems the love of taking photos is contagious, as there are now four of us armed with cameras on our days out. At one point we were all trying to photograph the same bee, so I stepped back to capture the moment… the resulting photo looks totally posed but it genuinely wasn’t at all! We also hopped onto the train and discovered the new 1/4 mile extension of the track. We were even lucky enough to witness a buzzard taking flight as the train approached (photo credit to my husband for that shot as I wasn’t quite quick enough!)

It’s lovely to see you all sharing in the same hobby, I think photography is a great hobby to encourage kids to follow it gets their creative juices flowing and encourages them to go outside and take in the scenery. Exbury Gardens looks like a beautiful place to explore and burn off some energy. I bet you all can’t wait to go back again and explore some more.
